Sure, there's boards.ie and HotUKDeals (which are both great), but there wasn't a dedicated, easy-to-use platform just for Irish deals. One that understands that a "great deal" in Dublin might be different from one in Donegal. One that celebrates both online bargains and that brilliant find in your local shop.

So we created StarDeals.ie—by the community, for the community.

How We Keep the Lights On

We're transparent about this—we use affiliate links when available. This means if you buy something through certain links, we might get a small commission. But here's the thing: it doesn't cost you a penny extra, and we never punish or hide deals that aren't affiliate links. A good deal is a good deal, full stop.

StarDeals.ie is built on trust and community participation. To ensure fairness for all users, the following rules apply:

One Account Per Person

Each individual may maintain only one active account
Creating multiple accounts is strictly prohibited
If multiple people in your household wish to use StarDeals, please contact us at info@stardeals.ie to verify legitimate usage

Earning and Using Points

Points are earned through genuine participation. The following activities are prohibited:

Creating duplicate accounts to accumulate points unfairly
Posting false or misleading deals to earn points
Vote manipulation, including using alternate accounts to upvote your own content
Coordinating with others to artificially boost votes or engagement
Exploiting technical bugs or vulnerabilities in the points system
Any other attempt to game the rewards system

Consequences of Abuse

If we detect violations of these fair use policies, we reserve the right to:

Remove the offending account(s) immediately
Revoke all points and rewards earned through violation
Permanently ban associated accounts and email addresses
Delete all content posted by violating accounts
Take legal action in cases of fraud or serious abuse

Detection and Monitoring

We use automated systems and manual review to detect suspicious activity, including but not limited to:

Multiple accounts from similar email addresses
Unusual voting or engagement patterns
Coordinated behavior between accounts
Rapid point accumulation inconsistent with normal usage

Appeals

If you believe your account was suspended in error, you may contact us at info@stardeals.ie within 14 days with an explanation. All decisions are final after the appeal period.
